I have just undertaken a management role and my husband and I have done a swap of responsibilities. He is now the stay at home dad with my 10 week old and 2 year old girls. This has been really difficult as I am breastfeeding and I am trying to express which is not always possible three hourly at work. I am really concerned that it will affect my supply and run myself down if I continue this way. I have tossed up the idea of formula during the day and feed when I am home. I fed my first daughter until she was 14 months and had to stop as I was pregnant again and getting run down, so I am feeling guilty I am considering formula. I feel like I am missing out on enough already not being home, but are thankful they are with one of us and this position has enabled that. My baby suffers from reflux and very bad wind. She only opens her bowels once every five to seven days and this seems to be causing her grief too. If I was to introduce formula what is the best for her with her pains? When and how often do I need to express to maintain my supply if I want to continue this way? [Edited on 06/11/2007]
